like the Sumpter Valley Gold Dredge and the Sumpter Valley Railroad. Listen to the old steam whistle as the train passes by....walk to the Sumpter Train Depot and the Sumpter Valley Dredge from your cabin! You'll find our Authentic Log Cabins relaxing and comfortable! Our Log Cabins are open year round and fully equipped for your stay in Sumpter ~  Enjoy the beautiful Blue Mountains and the majestic Elkhorn Mountains - summer or winter! Enjoy a meal in our newly remodeled, full-service Restaurant or make your day in Sumpter even better with a scoop of fresh Ice Cream in a tasty waffle cone made right here in the restaurant! Whether you're a vendor or a shopper, we are close to the Flea Markets, which are held three times each summer! Like to ride the trails? Sumpter boasts over 350 miles of off-road trails to explore and don't forget all the gold mining, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, hiking, boating and much more! Did we mention museums? Take a trip back in time and learn more about the history of Sumpter with a visit to our local Sumpter Museums, or explore local ghostowns in the area! The steam train runs behind our cabins beginning Memorial Day Weekend and runs every weekend all summer long through September! The Sumpter Valley Railroad depot is located within sight of our log cabins less than a block away, where you can purchase your train tickets and find some great souvenirs too! Take a tour of the historic Gold Dredge located just behind our cabins and even take gold pan lessons for free! Get a prospecting permit from the State Parks Ranger, and use your gold pan at designated places within the State Park! While your're visiting Sumpter, don't forget to visit our local museums! Learn about the tragic fire that changed Sumpter forever! Most of our visitors find they need an entire weekend to fully enjoy what Sumpter has to offer every adventurer! We are located downtown and our log cabins are furnished with everything you you'll need: microwave, dishes, tv, coffee maker and more! You can even rent a dvd/vcr player! The Snowmobile Trails are groomed and ready all winter...... Ride over 350 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the Sumpter area ~ accessible from our log cabins! Be sure to make your reservations to be here for one of The biggest events in Sumpter: The Poker Run The Sumpter Valley Blue Mountain Snowmobile Club sponsors the Poker Run on President's Day Weekend and you don't even need a snowmobile to join in the fun! Cancellations must be received by phone 14 days prior to your arrival date or we will bill your credit card for the full amount of your reservation. Don't forget....we require minimum 2 day stays for the Poker Run, and 3 days are required for Flea Markets! |
